Why fashion manufacturing is at fault

As we all know, when it comes to buying clothes, as consumers, we are all in a state of panic when it comes to dressing appropriately and proportionately. Budget wise and spending wise, all of us like to look and feel our best.  Like most people with a healthy level of self consciousness, we like to acknowledge our appearance as it were towards other people. We invite the type of interest and potential once we coordinate accordingly within the ideal scenario. Labels and fibres do not have to be the end of our right to express our dignity. Over centuries, engineers have been busy creating machines designed to copy a concept which is supposed to provide a material world for egocentrism culture that sustains the foundations of life as we know it.  Fashion has always oriented people through textures, tones and trimmings. Whether it be a fine sole of a durable boot or a technical pleat of an A-Line feathered skirt, the market of la mode doesn’t necessarily represent e...

Is a Vegan transition really worthwhile?

Image
The definition of Vegan is a lifestyle with out animal produce. Any thing derived by another mammal is excluded by the Vegan zealot. To deliberately avoid the consumption of any ingredients which are sourced from an animal. This includes fur and leather products. Neighbour: "We're Vegans."  Shirely Valentine: "Oh Why I thought you we're Church of England" (from the 1989 movie, Shirley Valentine ) If it were so simple to adopt the Vegan life style then why isn't every one doing so? Supposedly its a mere trend, or rather a more sincere movement by progressive activists.  For some people, doing whatever is popular at the time is their priority, since they never want to 'miss out' on the aspect of which the majority is experiencing. High volumes of the population feel that because they were raised by their families on diets including meat that they would be somehow dishonouring their carers method of congeniality. If I fla...

What People Taught Me At University

Image
First things first. I am not going to undertake a proposition that university is the be all and end all of victory amongst our species. I recall being at school whereby the teachers imposed that if we were to avert higher education that we would never attain our hearts desires. Since my own path has transpired unimaginable consequences, I oppose this structure. Finishing school without formal qualifications, truth be told, is not as dreadful as one may believe. Sure, we are lectured on mandatory subjects, such as Math, English and Science. Once we are inquired about our elected coursework, the reality of our futures truly begin to flash before our eyes. Most parents and carers encourage their children to seek some form of employment whilst they are undergoing these examinations. Some suggest avoiding this settlement, in consideration of the fact that it may disrupt the progression of ones educational credentials. On the other hand, from personal experience, a few hours during the we...

Keeping Up Appearances

Image
Would you believe it or not? I have spent at least a good hour (or what easily feels like that long) comparing these photographs to set as my new Facebook profile picture. Genuinely, what I find incredibly amusing is the fact that I can't afford my own food and rent, but for some noxious reason, I punish my self with a superficial lecture about which picture could entice the allure and appeal of my acquaintances, portraying an expression of mercy and humility for my loyalty. How can I represent my personality the most effectively, receive reliable feedback, with out deliberate intention to sculpt an explicitly artificial, tailored impression that of my environment, the glazed glance of my eyes, and an edge in the angle that it has been taken from.  As someone with a disorder (originally thought to be a personality disorder but after tactful research misconceived & apparently Autism) with an unstable schedule and an acutely sparse differentiation to offer to my friends on...

About the RENT...

1. When people share a kitchen/ bathroom and don't clean up after them selves, worse still when nobody comes clean about the mess.🍳 2. The constant fear of damage to any of the furnishings would risk losing the deposit, and you ultimately in debt.📉 3. Other tenants accumulating their gear in the communal areas so as to mark their territory, they behave like they own the place.😐 4. Having to rely on the punctuality and service of the landlord/ agency if any thing goes wrong. Even they can take the piss.📴 5. Sharing with strangers can be petrifying. Always being paranoid that your food and laundry are going to get looted, is an anxiety that weighs awkwardly on your conscience. Unnecessary small-talk in and around the property is always a bit of a 'drag.'👜 6. Cleaning duties are stricter because its not in your name to trash the place. Some fair wear and tear policies get pushed to the limit. 🔨 7. Some tenants never actually meet or become familiari...

Existentialist - Escorting

Image
I routinely write here at Godless hours of our actuality. Our experience of living transcends into lost time, and energy only progresses into affluence and a plethora that we pay our undivided application to. ⏳ My narrative of late seldom invites the provocations that I have managed to boil my personal dilemmas down to, I am assuredly glad to see the back of the last few years. Allow me to elaborate...  Since my last post, I have encountered the inexplicable climax of a contest which imposes that you aren't worth any thing unless you have plenty of people to prove it to. Ultimately, I disagree. I have come to know that life is not as linear as incipiently supposed by school teachers, work colleagues and family members. 🏆 Although they fiercely indoctrinate us with their own convictions and likewise axioms, this is not necessarily an accurate guideline to the life of an individual, distinctly a young person in this modern culture.  Shortly after the Halloween holi...

Sweetcorn Ethics

Image
It is not surprising to feel a little bit disappointed when we throw out food that has turned defective and not suitable for human consumption. This is because of the amount of waste we produce in Britain has been rising due to our consumerist lifestyle lead by a capitalist society. We simply throw away things with out a second thought. We do not acknowledge that our minor actions have a great collective effect on the environment and over the course of time we are gradually incurring an energy crisis that is very taxing on millions of families across the UK. Therefore it brings me a lot of disdain when I find my self, philosophising over a stick of corn on the cob, commiserating about where it came from, how it was provided and whether or not I should continue to cook with it, since it smells very funky, frankly. I cannot tell if this is a metaphor for unnecessary anxiety or literally a test of my intelligence and Earthy - morale, so it brings me no pleasure in decision making, espe...

Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged

Image
"Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend's eye." Matthew 7:5 A few words can mean a lot, especially when they are aimed at a person's course of life - never mind the thoughts or opinions we babble on another person's humanity. Hence forth, I am writing this with as much open mindedness as possible, since I have recently undergone judgement my self, I know the trivialities which critique, and what the imposing questions of another person's life path occupy. Whether it be involving image (self consciousness and self esteem issues quickly rise to anxiety, depression and in serious cases, suicide) life style choices (everything from stoners to gym fanatics) a person's perspective/beliefs or lack of. Having a job or being unemployed, having children or complete lethargy, we should remind ourselves regularly, that we are only here to focus on our own progress not to sha...

To Vape or not to Vape?

Image
I am a smoker of the last 5 years, with intermittent breaks, meaning I have managed to quit almost cold turkey for up to and over a month. Various online resources reveal contrasting statistics claiming that it is roughly 28-60 days to create or break a habit of one form or another, so this is not exclusive to smoking. I have been very serious about my smoking addiction and have gone to extreme measures to counteract the effect, in relation to its causes on my health, lifestyle and image. I have no doubt that the iconography depicting smokers have both a severe impact on our social status (whether we choose to adopt this particular scene or not) let alone our self-esteem or ambitions in life. It was suggested in another article I found on the web that smokers are more likely to be on a lower-income or incestuous around covert issues. I think that smoking is nothing more than an addiction, I do believe that a person has personal power to quit, however rem...
