What People Taught Me At University

Image
First things first. I am not going to undertake a proposition that university is the be all and end all of victory amongst our species. I recall being at school whereby the teachers imposed that if we were to avert higher education that we would never attain our hearts desires. Since my own path has transpired unimaginable consequences, I oppose this structure. Finishing school without formal qualifications, truth be told, is not as dreadful as one may believe. Sure, we are lectured on mandatory subjects, such as Math, English and Science. Once we are inquired about our elected coursework, the reality of our futures truly begin to flash before our eyes. Most parents and carers encourage their children to seek some form of employment whilst they are undergoing these examinations. Some suggest avoiding this settlement, in consideration of the fact that it may disrupt the progression of ones educational credentials. On the other hand, from personal experience, a few hours during the we...

Existentialist - Escorting

Image
I routinely write here at Godless hours of our actuality. Our experience of living transcends into lost time, and energy only progresses into affluence and a plethora that we pay our undivided application to. ⏳ My narrative of late seldom invites the provocations that I have managed to boil my personal dilemmas down to, I am assuredly glad to see the back of the last few years. Allow me to elaborate...  Since my last post, I have encountered the inexplicable climax of a contest which imposes that you aren't worth any thing unless you have plenty of people to prove it to. Ultimately, I disagree. I have come to know that life is not as linear as incipiently supposed by school teachers, work colleagues and family members. 🏆 Although they fiercely indoctrinate us with their own convictions and likewise axioms, this is not necessarily an accurate guideline to the life of an individual, distinctly a young person in this modern culture.  Shortly after the Halloween holi...

You know you're a Media student when...

...You interpret the world abstractly, as if your life were in a movie and you were the protagonist of your own conceptualised reality. ...The Matrix / Inception provided all the  enthusiasm  and passion, necessary to apply for Media in the first place. CGI, SNM. ...You're supposed to be technologically adept but you still heavily rely on walkthroughs on random  internet   forums and wikiHow articles to learn how to do things in programmes such as Photoshop , which you should know by now from all those hours in lectures (!)  ...You spend weeks at a time on  YouTube  consuming volumes of information from Vloggers and other non-credible sources, perchance material for critical analysis, investigating the details that these small productions deliver, such as short films. ...Then when you steal ideas from these videos for your own coursework. ...Your best friends are the coders, designers and philoso...

The Guilt Trip

Image
We have all been there. Not utterly sure where we are going, who we are actually associating with, what we are doing with our lives, perchance what we want... Furthermore,  it being a perennial  adventure, with our ambitions churning and our aspirations imaginatively  soaring for audacity , it would now seem an ever more presenting task of us to lead the way to an improved version of the future. So what gives? Is it the insurmountable pressure that takes us away from our demise? Is it our souls guiding us or a higher source? Well this is where it begins. The question is clearly that, and we are at no solid conclusions. We cannot continue to blame our selves for the unknown personifications of anxiety and synchronicity  that forever flows on a timeless and formless condition.  It is alluring how so many of us do not appear to be living the lives that we expect, never mind desire. There are thousands of videos online and articles on the web that ...

The Girl Next Door...

Is it just me, or does it seem ever more insurmountable to establish meaningful relationships with people, of both genders, vice-versa. Whether you are looking for platonic ones or romantic encounters, the possibilities appear endless. With the art of new modes of communication, there are barely any excuses to find new friends and exciting lovers. In my limited perspective of 22 years, extensive study of psychology and sociology, I have discovered an element that contributes to the meaning of life. It is purely in those that we meet, the connections that we build and the quality of the time that we spend with said company. Admittedly, this is rooted in how much we go out of our boundaries or comfort zone to be around other human beings. Religion, employment and area of habitation all play key roles in finding these counterparts to our existence. We are in essence, the people that we spend our time with. It is too permissible in the modern age to avoid relationships all together if y...
