About the RENT...

1. When people share a kitchen/ bathroom and don't clean up after them selves, worse still when nobody comes clean about the mess.🍳

2. The constant fear of damage to any of the furnishings would risk losing the deposit, and you ultimately in debt.📉

3. Other tenants accumulating their gear in the communal areas so as to mark their territory, they behave like they own the place.😐

4. Having to rely on the punctuality and service of the landlord/ agency if any thing goes wrong. Even they can take the piss.📴

5. Sharing with strangers can be petrifying. Always being paranoid that your food and laundry are going to get looted, is an anxiety that weighs awkwardly on your conscience. Unnecessary small-talk in and around the property is always a bit of a 'drag.'👜

6. Cleaning duties are stricter because its not in your name to trash the place. Some fair wear and tear policies get pushed to the limit. 🔨

7. Some tenants never actually meet or become familiarised with their landlord. Considering that you live under their roof seems like a bit of a foreign concept in relation to hospitality, security and comfort. 🌆

8. Shared responsibility of locking windows and doors... you need eyes at the back of your head! 🔓

9. The liberty to play music or TV after 11pm with out the fear of a neighbour grassing you up and having you land up evicted.👮

10. Paying the majority of your wages towards some space that mostly has no personalisation, restrictions on what you can do with the interior, whilst you have no intention or hope of owning it. Renting feels like a waste of time.💸

11. Not being able to abandon ship. No fucking off to China because you feel like it, because the landlord has a contract with you and he expects moolah every month - the scammy bastard won't let you sublet it temporarily either so you're neck deep in shit.✈

12. A lot of landlords banning the ownership of pets or animals. Real lonely yo.🐇

13. Shared lots tending to feel more like hotels than homes.🛀
