Signs Of Abuse

Image
I cut a bad habit many years ago, by application of the philosophy that every day I didn't do (x) activity, I was ultimately one closer to better health ; I knew that if I could achieve this, then I would attain the insights as to how to advise others with similar conflicting desires. I do realise that absolute self determination and persistence isn't a guarantee that commitments will stand the test of time, yet we can certainly hope so(!) Originally, the reason that prompted me to change was because my (now-ex) boyfriend insisted I seek a psychological intervention in the form of a qualified therapist - reality was he had his own mental turmoil, by which he tethered reverse psychology upon me as a technique of "guilt tripping." I have vague theories about why he acted as he did to warp my senses. (Gaslighting) What I believed to be my own logic and free-will, perhaps what I lacked initially, before entering a relationship such as this one, I can contend that my de...

Social Agenda of a Humanist

I don't care whether you're earning 8k PA or 80k... I don't care where you originated or which National Identity you associate with... I don't care if you use drugs, subscribe to a religion or political party... I don't care if you're a creative or an analyst - your contributions to society are equally essential... I don't care about your sexuality... orientation is personal and not the business of my own endeavours.  It is your spiritual right to express your humanity; consensually and privately. I don't care who you travel/commute with everyday, for employment or education. So as much that you all feel safe and that is totally mutual and not out of obligation... I don't care if you marry your work or your family and friends... so as much you are content and everything functions efficiently in your life then live it to the best of your abilities and intentions... I don't care if you're from a "broken background"... if you can be g...

Keeping Up Appearances

Image
Would you believe it or not? I have spent at least a good hour (or what easily feels like that long) comparing these photographs to set as my new Facebook profile picture. Genuinely, what I find incredibly amusing is the fact that I can't afford my own food and rent, but for some noxious reason, I punish my self with a superficial lecture about which picture could entice the allure and appeal of my acquaintances, portraying an expression of mercy and humility for my loyalty. How can I represent my personality the most effectively, receive reliable feedback, with out deliberate intention to sculpt an explicitly artificial, tailored impression that of my environment, the glazed glance of my eyes, and an edge in the angle that it has been taken from.  As someone with a disorder (originally thought to be a personality disorder but after tactful research misconceived & apparently Autism) with an unstable schedule and an acutely sparse differentiation to offer to my friends on...

The Liberal Democrats

Image
First things first. Get your self a cup of tea or coffee. Because the Lib Dems are the friendliest and most accommodating party. Alongside their genuine policies and down to earth compassion, they deliver their character with integrity and holisticism. Their minds are concerning real issues and their multiculturalism offers you to vote for something worth talking about, in a non-conformist fashion and they rejoice with an impressive voice bringing justice to millions of families across the UK. They would rather help individuals of the nation, willing to work diligently in order to achieve their dreams, than reap benefits that are only going to serve their own personal agendas, they are more pragmatic than the other parties. For example they are huge supporters of creative enterprises and are big on education, in a more cultivating progression as opposed to the adversity of the Labour and Conservative constitutions. Moreover they fancy teaching etiquette in schools to refrain sex...

The Girl Next Door...

Is it just me, or does it seem ever more insurmountable to establish meaningful relationships with people, of both genders, vice-versa. Whether you are looking for platonic ones or romantic encounters, the possibilities appear endless. With the art of new modes of communication, there are barely any excuses to find new friends and exciting lovers. In my limited perspective of 22 years, extensive study of psychology and sociology, I have discovered an element that contributes to the meaning of life. It is purely in those that we meet, the connections that we build and the quality of the time that we spend with said company. Admittedly, this is rooted in how much we go out of our boundaries or comfort zone to be around other human beings. Religion, employment and area of habitation all play key roles in finding these counterparts to our existence. We are in essence, the people that we spend our time with. It is too permissible in the modern age to avoid relationships all together if y...

An Unconventional Life

Image
How I learnt more from being remanded in prison than another year at university. Its pretty simplistic really, we are all in a perpetual metaphoric heaven or hell. My reasoning for this aspect is that whether we chose to or not, we are bound by the spirit of the divine by external factors we are unable to control. To my greatest surprise I was not about to embark on a potentially life changing journey, a trip I could no longer fathom to grip. This was the blitz of crossing ideas from energy exchanges, unkempt impressions, and a malnourished soul. Uncertain of where these passages presented to me, I could not for the life of me comprehend my own existence. Had it any purpose? Did it borrow from the mass of another's conscience. Had aesthetic value over taken my desire to escape from the reality of the dimension that had previously played out, was I totally lost and forever bemused? A creative mind and depth that had surely scarred my memory for eternity. No amount of thera...
