Street Spirit

A polite notice for future investors

I didn't sleep all night, and I was worried about my future accommodation arrangements, how I would afford my bills and who I had been getting involved with, these last few weeks so much, that I waited for the shop to legally sell alcohol (10am) and I ended up with a bottle of Buckfast, by chance. I took it home, and altered my state of conscience, because I didn't believe in my own capacity to cope with belittlement of greedy landlords. This day I made my own, guided by the spirit and the knowledge that I had left my old life for a reason, secure in the moment of full awareness of my own being. I am still learning to achieve this with out drugs or alcohol. I am happy to say that I have quit smoking again, and I reserve a small bottle of Vodka on my dressing table, but that is all for now. I got into the square on my mountain bike as usual, as a means of escape, something compelled me to go the the skate park at Lady Bay earlier that day; although I injured my self horrendously on the ramps. I assumed that the ramps would be highly effective and reasonably safe, only I was out of my mind to believe I possessed any kind of skill that is required to go bombing up and down those things.

People complaining that the park hasn't been what it once was since the redevelopments

The park still attracts an older generation by the looks of things

A potential ground for striving artists

I know this sounds really idiotic but things turned out pretty well, after a leap of faith and a blitzing session of hardcore drinking; I wandered into the City Centre to be approached by a pair of Romanians, of all people, whom I felt pretty awkward speaking with them so soon after the referendum. They wanted me to follow them to some place, but I insisted that I was going window shopping alone, and that would best please me that fine afternoon. With no indication to misdeed our supposedly long-term migrant citizens, I moved on as swiftly as possible. I couldn't inhibit my self from a good old - fashioned Primark gander, and nearly toppled into these sweet buys.

Later that evening I walked comfortably merry to The Alley Cafe for a Party, they were promoting music, information about sea-food farming and their vegan life-style choices. I enjoyed a couple of cocktails before pondering over inviting my own guests as it may have been something they were personally interested in campaigning for. Regrettably I meditated over the recent election results and began to feel a bit ill, not sure if it were the considerable amount of action I had stomached all day or the indoctrination via the environment at the given times, AM to PM. Hell I felt bad. I wasn't sure if any body really cared about any thing or whether these topics were more of a fashion statement. After all we all carry our own model of what we wish to attract, in work and social. I intended on returning to the bar but my phone had ceased to run as I was hoping my mate would join me but I had ran out of energy nonetheless. Therefore there isn't a lot more I can impose about this venue, still I can confirm that it is a quaint cafe that specialises in vegetarian and vegan dishes. They have their own ale that is wheat-free or something like that, and the general atmosphere is chilled, non-invasive and free-spirited.

I couldn't help notice that this cafe has finally bean redeveloped too. I was trekking back from ASDA when I saw the cyclists racing around a track alongside the River Trent. I was inquisitive so I investigated more closely with the aid of my smart phone :)

I went online when I got in and I realised that it was the same event operating as I had applied for last year whilst I was on the same journey as a professional cyclist. Sponsors such as Nottingham Post, Smooth Radio and Nottingham City Council presented this Cycle Live Event this year. There were various tracks and races available for absolutely any body and every body to take part in, family oriented, different lengths (km) and the entire weekend was alive with cycling madness
