Beauty is in the Eye of the beholder

What is beauty? To see clearly one must encounter spiritual truth, that they should allow themselves to recognise that we all have aspects and parts of our physical bodies that we aren't so proud of, however instead of being overwhelmed and warped by images of ladies in fashion magazines and advertisements, we should carefully examine our bodies and learn to appreciate, adapt and adore our flaws more than comparatively towards marketed visuals. For example we may have an extremely distorted self esteem, due to ill-health, and the societal pressures to conform to certain aesthetic standards, even in desperate moments we may consider options such as surgery and expensive procedures to erase so-called 'blemishes' or 'imperfections' that in reality aren't what these labels entice at all. They are in fact, naturally occurring phenomena of what it means to be a human being. With that, I believe the most important element of living in the modern world is how we feel on the inside; our organs, our functionality, our spirit. We are submerged in a fanatical visionary experience of airbrushed photographs, fancy cuisine, bright lipstick, and manicured digits. Its all too much to keep up with, it would seem...

My idea here was to exemplify the shocking lengths that some women and men go to achieve their ultimate body shape. I can guarantee that looks can be deceiving. Slim, skinny or thin does not equal happiness. It can wreck your head, it can consume your mind. A distorted dystopia of meaningless mannequin measurements can potentially destroy the person living in that body. Besides, when you remove the layers of garments, you may find that the man or woman underneath is hiding a dark secret, one of self-neglect, one of self-hatred, one of self-denial. The ability to comprehend and realise these unnecessary pains, can invite depression, a negative attitude towards other people, and a life of terminal suffering, all in the name of vanity.

It would bring great pleasure in announcing that no matter who you are, what you do, what you look like, aspiring this body type is not always healthy or reliable, and it isn't perfect. The truth about the fashion and beauty industry is that it is all in your own eyes and no other person should judge you on your independent differences for fear of humility. We are all attracted to varied appearances, and we all live alternative lifestyles, nobody is the same; therefore you should feel no shame in living in your own body because it is your birthright to live, with freedom of choice and dignity.

What I mean to say here, is that you and I should love ourselves, unconditionally, until then you cannot love another with integrity. Self acceptance is a life long journey, it is an internal experience and it is like no other. It cannot bought and it cannot be sold, it is not the agenda of elite companies to encourage men and women to liberate themselves through this methodology. What would be kinder understanding is learning what the unquestionable priorities in life, that being safety, belonging, and well-being.

Passion, creativity, knowledge, talent, job-satisfaction are all impiricle to live a loving and humble life. No matter what happens to you during your path on this Earth, never forget to never give up on your dreams. Focus your attention on being the best version of you. You are not alone with your insecurities, but surround your self with people who believe in you and accept you for who you are and not something that you try to be. Do not give in to peer pressure or stress your self to insanity for the sake of 'beauty-standards'. We all behold an eye and Beauty is within it, and so is all of the joy that life has to offer. So don't waste your time worrying about things that are impermanent, because we are all ageing, developing and progressing within our spirit, and that is the only thing that we have to the very end.
