Nottingham Glitz & Glamour

Upon discovering an advert for the SKN Heritage Museum event, a fashion show organised to raise funds, inventory donations for the establishing museum; to celebrate a diverse display showcasing tons of treasures from the 50's to contemporary trends of today, which was hosted at the House of Fraser, Victoria Centre.

After an inspirational speech, some banter and bubbles, the catwalk was brought to life with the hustle and anticipation of what was in awe for the evening. We began with some gorgeous evening and formal wear, which was absolutely, beautifully modelled by the girls.

Each with their unique presence, in style and in characteristics, we were all really pleased for them, they had entertained us with some really well-orchestrated looks of Spring/Summer '15. The casual looks also did not fail to quench our thirst for fresh fashion ideas.

The night included some make-up tutorials however, I wandered into the store to unveil my own tips of the evening with a demo from a kind lady named Bonnie - Urban Decay Make Up Artist and Sales Associate. We had a personal conversation about Spirituality, The Paranormal and of course, how apply cosmetics correctly. I had never been properly taught how to apply the stuff, only guess work from short observations, and Bonnie highlighted my features wonderfully with her professionalism. Her knowledge of the colour pallets and application process worked a treat on my complexion.

I'm really delighted for the women in the fashion show, and those responsible for executing another cool campaign to express the vitality and variety of culture in Nottingham.
